That's the same way I use mine on the M59 which is the machine we use 99% of the time. Toe to the top of the pedal and then toe to the bottom. No heel on the pedal.
I almost didn't get the M59 because I liked the JD two-pedal set up. And I still prefer the JD set-up..oh well...

Since most of the time is on the M59 I do make mistakes when I get on one of the other machines. But all that happens is that nothing happens. Toe is Toe. So it doesn't make a difference. It might if I was going in the other direction.

The M59 is pretty good on the pedal controls but the JD 4720 CUT was the bees knees for hydrostatic control and smoothness. I wish the M59 had cruise control like the Deere.

My current Branson had two pedals. My previous Kubota B7100 had the single wide spaced heel and toe treadle pedal.

Ergonomically I prefer the two pedals. It's easier to switch and more comfortable to operate reverse with the toe than the heel. But one advantage to that heel and toe design is that you know when you're operating reverse. With the two pedals there's not a big difference in your leg position between forward and reverse. Every once in a while I push my toe expecting one direction and get the other.

When I had My Kubota B single pedal had lot of inner thigh cramps in my leg,not so much now w/Kubota L.

I'm not against either one... I prefer the treadle pedal.

I'm so used to the treadle pedal on my BX23D that it's 2nd nature to operate and don't even have to think about foot placement, just toe and heal and go which way I want. Don't have to look down or take my eyes off the work I'm doing.
