I have a 2320 with the 62D MMM
I mow mostly in low range but have used high range
My lawn is not super smooth so I find that mowing in High range is just to fast and I just get bounced around too much.
In low range according to the manual is 4.5 mph and that is fast enough on my lawn.
I would suggest there would be very few lawns that are smooth enough to mow faster than 4.5 mph on a CUT or SCUT. but, that may be just me.
Also, mowing any faster than the 4.5 mph does not leave the nice cut I get when mowing at or below the 4.5 mph
