Assuming that the '2200 is identical to the
BX23 in this area, you will need a 26mm socket. Clean the area around the strainer so that dirt doesn't fall into the O-ring groves, and make sure your left rear tire is clean, too. The strainer will come out almost to the tire before it is clear of the pickup tube.
If you are careful, you can keep the pickup tube against the transmission so that you won't have to worry about the inner O-ring unseating. Make sure you know where the outer O-ring is; it may stay in the grove on the pickup tube, or it may come out with the strainer. (Or it may end up in the dirt on your floor!)
I cleaned mine with kerosene and let it air dry, then wrapped in it a paper towel so that I could get it back in place without picking up any dirt, then fed it carefully through the pickup tube and into the transmission.
Pretty easy to work on. Just remember, when your mother told you that "Cleanliness is next to Godliness," she was talking about the insides of your tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
