Hydro vs. 9X3 TC30

If it is equiped with a shuttle shift you should see no difference with the loader work or any of the finer points of a Hydro.

Hydro. I didn't expect to do nearly as much loader & snow pushing with my TC33. It would be **** without it.

The TC-30 does not have a shuttle type transmission. The gear type is the old style, non-synchronized, 3 speed w/ reverse and 3 ranges, hence 9 x 3. The only option is the full hydrostatic drive. (Of course I may be wrong as mine is 2 years old and I have not kept up with any model changes.)

A shuttle shift is not available in the gear version. I have the gear TC 30 and after 9 months of using it I think I should have gotten the hydro. I have several steep hills leading to my house and my tractor will not climb them in the highest gear so I have to stop and gear down to 8th gear. I also use the fel in tight areas and the hydro would be better for this. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for all your input. I decided to get a TC30 Hydro and hopefully will get it in 2 weeks. I went to a local dealer here in N.Y.C. and tried both and I just couldn't work the 9X3.
Thanks again

Garblues

just curious what does the tc 30 cost in NYC. I paid $15000 even for mine with a hydro, and 7308 loader with a heavy duty bucket. Also got 48 months with 0 interest.
