I don't think JJ was trying to be offensive...he did give you a link to a good site for gauges...and he used the spelling gage FIRST...so I think his question was a legitimate one...wondering which spelling is preferred..

Chill out dude, it was only a question.

I was trying to find out which is more correct from anybody that knows.

I use gage myself. No offence to you or any one else.

As far as college, I don't have any and I guess that makes you smarter than me.

Use whatever spelling you want.

The two words are interchangeable for the most part.
