Mine is at 3000 hrs with the original injectors. I did have the pump rebuilt, but it was for o-rings leaking externally.

I know that it will make a bunch of racket on restart if it runs out of fuel. It takes a few minutes at idle to straighten itself out.

I checked mine, and it has 2500 hrs on it.

Another thing I failed to mention was that after running it for a good 10 mins, I drained the oil (fresh oil that I just put in before trying start) and strained it. I found absolutely no trace of any metal shavings in it.

I still think it's one of the injectors not closing all of the way or something with the pump. I suggest pulling the injectors and having them checked. You could buy all new injectors and still have the same problem, so I would check them first.

Ok, I'll do that.
Is there anything I can do to see if it's with the pump or not? I'm worried I might have done something when I changed out the o-rings in it.

One thing i'd like to know is if it's okay to run the tractor for extended time? Will it ruin anything?

I don't think I would be using the tractor until I found out what the "Knock" noise is. If I remember correctly you also said you had tried to start the tractor with the starter and the starter would not spin the motor, you then confirmed the motor was "Hydro Locked" by using a large pipe wrench. My guess is that you have bent a rod.

Ok. I've ordered new injectors for all 3 cylinders. I'll see if that changes anything.
Is there any sort of test I can do to see if it's a bent rod without having to remove the entire head of the engine?
I heard that when you remove the head you have to replace all the seals that you go past. Is this true?

Thanks

The injectors should get here tomorrow, so I'll let you guys know if that changes anything.

If you bent a rod I would think that cyl would show lower compression. Usually you know when you have a low end problem like that.
Yes don't reassemble without new gaskets.

Youput9 0 rings in that pump ? Injector pumps are very close tolerance and usually done by a pro . My guess is you are flooding a cylinder .
