Hydrostatic Transmission help

The hour meter says 985hrs, but when I got it, the hourmeter wasn't working(blown fuse), so who knows how many true hours are on it. As far as I know, it was used on a farm for mowing, moiving dirt and so on, the past owner who I aquired it from, has no clue how to take care of anything and I could venture to say the trans fluid has nver been changed. The strainers on the side I think were original, the head of the bolt was still painted grey, and I didn't see any marks on them. This is the main reason why I didn't pay to much for the machine, and it was worth repairing it.
