Hydrostatic transmission

I have a 2615 Mahindra tractor. ( Hydrostatic Transmission & Hydrostatic filter) Can i use transmission & hydraulic oil for the transmission or do i have to use hydrostatic transmission oil. Which i heard is quite expensive.

You need to use the proper fluid. You know that..Most modern CUTS have wet brakes, and you must use a fluid designed for wet brakes. Automatic transmission fluids and hydraulic fluids not designed for wet brakes will cause problems. Hydrostatic transmissions have very precise tolerances and need the proper fluids to operate well. I cannot imagine trying to save a few dollars on fluid to spend hundreds or thousands on repairs..
