Several years ago, I was working the landscape bed next to the house, trying to get it reasonably level. The clutch linkage broke and the next thing I know the FEL bucket is pushing against the brick wall. I was fortunate for two reasons...
1. The bucket hit the wall straight on. If it had been at an angle I'm sure there would have been a hole in the wall.
2. The dirt was really soft and loose, so the tires were just spinning and digging in. If the tractor would have had good traction, the whole wall might be cracked.
Did I mention it was our NEW house at the time. It was only about three months old.
