CK30 HST - I am having a problem with my ROPS. When I go to lower the ROPS it comes into contact with the fender on the left side. It occurs when I have lowered them about half way. If I continued to lower the ROPS it would do some serious damage to the fender. I contacted the dealer that I purchased the tractor from and they in turn contacted Kioti. The response I received is that there is no spacer kit or other recommended repair. It is a manufacturing defect and there is nothing that can be done about it! /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gifI was told I would have to remove the ROPS in order to garage the machine. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

That can't be right, mine clears fine, it has to be something out of line, maybe the fender can be adjusted. I'd sure contact Kioti through another source, sounds like your dealer is blowing smoke. I can't believe they'd tell you to remove the ROPS, that's a lot of work and would take a crane.

That would be real smart of any dealer to tell someone to remove the ROPS. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif An accident waiting to happen.

Mech, do you have the older model ROPS... The reason I ask is because the new Rops fold in the middle, it would be impossible in my view to have it touch the fender, keep us posted...cag

In 05 my CK folds in the center but I have seen some CKs that fold near the base.

Here again is the left side straight on. You can see the tolerance is very close. As you lower the ROPS the left side comes into contact with the fender about 50 percent of the way down.

Yes, I do have the older style. It looks to me like the vertical members of the frame that the ROPS are assembled to are not parallel.
