I bought a B7500 today

Thanks to all who answered my questions. Today I found a B7500 with loader (302) turf tires (loaded) grill guard adjustable angle rear scraper blade 5foot bush hog finish mower and rock rake used with 38 hours on the clock. All the implements were bought new with the tractor. For all intensive purposes this is a new tractor. Paid 13K. Every dealer here in Mi. was quoteing me 14500 for just the loader and mower. So all in all I think I did O.K.. I'll post some pics as soon as I pick it up this weekend.

Congratulations on your purchase. I have really enjoyed my B7500 over the last few months. I bought it in September and just turned 85 hours on it. Most of it fairly hard duty, and it has never given me any problems that I didn't create for it. I also keep finding more uses for it everyday. (Now if I could only find a window washing attachment, my neighbors would really be impressed). Sounds like you found a good deal as well.

I think you got a good deal. I know you will enjoy the tractor, I have really enjoyed mine it is one nice machine, I have 100 plus hours on mine and have not had one single problem. Enjoy and be safe.

Congratulations on a great deal. I am sure that you will have lots of fun with it.

I recommend getting the shop & illustrated parts manuals. Also have the dealer weld on two loader bucket hooks. Color Code Hydraulic Hoses with plastic ties.

Below is a delivery Check List:

1. Check all fluid levels. Coolant, Fuel, Engine oil, Front axle oil, Hydraulic oil.

2. Check wheel lugs, loader brackets, ROPS and various other obvious bolts for tightness.

3. Engage PTOs and watch for movement at idle.

4. Check all the lights.

5. Take it for a spin and verify brakes and throttle, transmission ranges and HST.

6. Check operation of mower, Loader & 3ph

7. Have them completely remove the loader and put it back on.

8. Show how to remove screen for radiator.

9. Run finger along all hydraulic hoses to check for leaks. Check tightness of lines.

10. Have the dealer person show you the does and don'ts. Especially for first 50 hours.

Do this with a clean rag, engine off and make sure hydraulic pressure has been relieved. Oil injected into the skin can be very bad. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

I had read a suggestion of using cardboard for checking the hydraulic lines. I still have the vision of that guy who was unlucky enough to find a leak with his finger. I believe the picture was posted on this forum or was at least a link. Ripped his hand open from his finger tip to his wrist. Had I not seen the picture, I would have guessed it was an exaggeration.
