I bought a new Ingersoll Rand BL370 B Backhoe

I just bought a used EF4 a few weeks ago. It is the same as your IR 375 I think. So far love it. Too bad Bob cat did not further refine this product. I love the room, ease of getting off and on, smoothness of the controls. I needed a new rubber hood latch on one side. I figured $5. at tops. Bob Cat said $43. Ridclous. I would like to coorespond with some Bob cat engineer. I would like to know if there is any way to reverse the way the speed brake works (hi-low speed) I would prefer it to be in low speed with your foot off the pedal and hi when pushing down. I think this would work better that way, especially when running the backhoe and you want to move up a little, without turning clear around, slower speed would be prefered. Would it do any damage if I made a spring to hold it down in low speed, and bolt a L bracket on the botton of the pedal to step on it and shift to hi speed? Would like to hear further input on this from any other users and
any other info about them. John

I am having the trailer derated to 9,900 lbs.[ it is a trailer rated for 12,000 lbs with a 9,900 lbs tag.] I don't have a class A licence yet. If i don't go over the scales, or I am not stopped by the highway patrol maby I can get by for a while.
I don't know how often I will be pulling it on the trailer. David

I'm not getting into this CDL argument, I will say however, I have a Kubota L 48 TLB with home made cab. The machine weighs 8200 lbs. I have a Bri-Mar 18 ft, 12,000 lb trailer, its self with chain box, binders, etc, weighs 3100lbs ,,, I pull this combo with a Dodge diesel 3/4 ton. My pickup has a Jacob exhaust brake and 14 inch brake rotors all the way around... Even still, very dangerous. I have to have eyes in the sides and back of my head. I take it real easy, especially going through the small town we live in... Never know when a kid follows the bouncing ball or someone pulls out without looking, etc.. Get the largest you can get, and try to be safe about it... As far as CDL, I got the for-runner, a Class A in 1968. Did a million, three hundred thou in 18 year period,... Even with this experience,, pulling the 48 with 3/4 pickup, one can't be careful enough
