Thanks Piston. The tires are loaded with calcium. I thought hard about 60" or 72" and went with the 60" because I wanted something I could wiggle thru the woods with a little easier.
I've been all over the internet and TBN the last 4-5 months, talked to some other tractor owner friends and tried to build a package that will last for years to come... time will tell I guess.

If you are going to be keeping trails clear in the woods, then a 5' cutter can be better than a 6' on that tractor. If your woods are thick you have branches and trees everywhere to watch out for and if the cutter is more narrow than the tractor tires, you can keep your attention forward rather than looking backwards to make sure your cutter misses the trees. Fewer branches hit you in the face that way. I have both a 5' and a 6', depending on the need. Open field I use the 6' and am looking for a 7' or even a batwing, to finish off the pastures quicker.

Great choice... Talk about making work fun. I also use a 5 ft. bush hog behind mine, great for tight spots. The 5100 is a brute, yet so easy to work with. you will love it. Enjoy !View attachment 336870

You made an excellant choice with the MX. It was first tractor also. That was 3 yrs ago and it has handled everything I have asked of it. Congrats and don't forget the pictures!

I'm right at a year on mine. Only 40 hours on it but I have 2 tractors. I never had a FEL until the MX5100 and it's been a great tool - love it.
