Every piece of my brothers floors were hand made on site from full thickness 3/4 inch flooring. He doesn't use any of that lazer cut veneer stuff.jake98 said:backyard, where are those floor mosaics made?
We decided what equipment we need based on the customers demands. The first track pictured was built with a dozer and skid loader but the second one was done with 2 tracked skid loaders. I'll use the tractor for maintaining tracks and smaller track changes. I really like tractors but I'll be the first to admit even a smaller skid loader (with a good operator) will run circles around a large tractor when it comes to track building. If you don't want anything crazy and you have a lot of time you could build a track with your tractor. If you want something like the tracks I've pictured you're going to need to move a few thosand yards of dirt and I'd recommend getting a dozer to do the heavy work and use your 5030 for the finish work an future maintenance.streamin said:backyardtrack, That is a nice buy! I am curious about the tracks you build, do you do all the work with the tractor or do you need a dozer to get started? I was thinking about building one in the future and wondered if I could do everything with my 5030 or rent a dozer for the initial rough stuff??
That is what I was afraid of, thanks for the info and enjoy your new tractor.backyardtrack said:If you want something like the tracks I've pictured you're going to need to move a few thosand yards of dirt and I'd recommend getting a dozer to do the heavy work and use your 5030 for the finish work an future maintenance.
