Kubota B2910
I've been following this forum/website for a couple months and really learned a lot. Enough in fact to cough up many thousand dollars for a used Kubota B2910 with only 20 hours. It has just arrived right here in the middle of John Deere country (Iowa). This could be dangerous.

With help from this forum and some test drives and a borrowed JD 955, I knew exactly which model I wanted from JD,Kubota, and New Holland. It was just a matter of following the classifieds. I have a lot of learning to do, but I don't think I'll be unhappy with this Kubota.

This is my first tractor. I'll be using it to maintain 5 acres of lawn and 10 acres of woods (all of which have hills and slopes).

I look forward to many hours on this machine and further good counsel from this website.

Leef,

Congratulations! I still get excited about my "New" tractor and it's over a year old! Just use common sense and listen to what the seat of your pants tells you and you should be OK! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Leef,
First of all welcome to the board, and jump right in and ask or help.

Congratulation on your B2910 which you purchase. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Does your B2910 come with any attachments?

Ahhhh those Deere won't be a problem since you now have a hunter orange tractor. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Try and get some seat time after your Thanksgiving feast, that way you have more room for and extra picec of pie.

May you and your family have a safe and pleasant Thanksgiving.

Congrats, you bought a great machine. Keep in mind it's still in break-in period, and treat it gently for the 100 hours or so. Read the manuals, and have fun.

Yes, I bought the tractor with a LA402 FEL, 72" belly finishing mower, a Kubota FL1271R tiller and a box blade.

Today I spent a couple hours getting friendly with the FEL moving wood to and from the log splitter after a large tree was taken down. I'm very pleased so far. The ground is starting to freeze so my attempt at tilling some compacted driveway dirt was kinda ruff but all seems to work well.

Unfortunately, the previous owner does not have the owners manual for the tractor or the mower or the FEL. I would like to have one. Does anyone know where I can get these and maybe a shop manual also? The dealership has a good reputation but of course I didn't buy this from there. I intend to patronize them as I expand implements and require service.

I'm pretty comfortable driving & operating the machine but Since I don't have an owners manual I'd accept any advice regarding the PTO's and 3PH use.

Leef,
I'm sure your dealer can help w/ the manuals.

Maybe try jensales@jensales.com for manuals.

Should you need to know some specs until you get your manuals just ask.

Have fun and play safe.

Leef, if I were you I'd definitely contact a dealer to get an operator's manual; preferably a workshop manual and parts manual as well. You want to be sure and do the 50 hour service, and unless you're very familiar with the tractor, there's a good chance you'll miss some of the drain plugs. In the meantime, if you have any specific questions I'll be glad to try to help, either here or you can e-mail me. I have the B2710, which is very similar and have all the manuals.

Definately get the manuals and read them cover to cover, twice. Lots of good safety info. and things to keep in the back of your mind as you learn it's capabilities.

Also recommend you grease all fittings--especially the mower deck. Better safe than sorry.

Best of luck, you have a great machine!

Sounds like a super rig to me. You'll find lot's of reasons to spend time out doing tractor stuff the longer you have the beast around.

You might contact Carver Equipment for manuals. They seem to have all of the owners and shop manuals available.

Leef,
Congratulations on the new purchase. Sounds like you found yourself a deal. Before I purchased my 2710, I watched the papers for almost a year and never found a Kubota with 20 hours on it. Happy tractoring and remember " S A F E T Y
F I R S T "!!
