I think you can find digital cameras suitable for posting pix on TBN (and sending to relatives) for between $50 and $100. The more expensive cameras can do higher resolution, but the picture files get HUGE. In my opinion, they are great if you want to print your own pictures, but are massive overkill for sending pix around the internet.

El cheapo camera and down & dirty resolution… {$49-Dlink- .330 MegaPixel CCD}
A little better camera & higher resolution…{~$269-Kodak- ~2.3 MegaPixel CCD}
