TXdon, I showed my wife your pics and she burst out laughing. She thought I was just showing her your seasoned gate. Our old gate was just old and rusty till recently, till my wife customized it. She was coming home. Got out to open the gate, but she hadn't set the brake good. The Dodge rolled into the gate, giving it new shape and character. We didn't save it though. Took the occasion to replace it with a brand new one. Hope the neighbors don't think we're getting uppity.

Like your gate stop. I may have to get a wheel and make up a couple of gate stops. This might save our purty new gate from my evil son-in-law, who prefers to fling gates mightily.

You guys crack me up. Replacing the gate was one of my "retirement" projects but the wife scratched it off the list!??? she like the unusual bends and wavy design. The owner before let everyone, and their dog, hunt on the property before he sold it to us. The gate was in this shape when we bought the property 13 years ago. We often give directions: "go to the gate of the the drunken deer hunters..."

Yeah...that's the reason I don't tear down and replace the crooked barn that was there when I bought my place. There's not a better landmark around than that barn.

I don't have a name for the farm. That one will be one of the top contenders. Trespassers would think twice....
