Its really hard to compare Florida humidity with Texas, because on any given day the humidity might be 20% in Amarillo, 50% in Dallas, and 75% in Houston. Its a big state.

I don't like the heat, nor the humidity. We set our thermostat at about 70-71 during the day and 62-64 at night, and also run a fan blowing right on us. The good thing is, if you accidently leave some meat out of the fridge overnight, it stays fresh.

Thank God for air conditioning.

Gator and Jagman, Kansas is well known for tornadoes because that's all we have to talk about. Kansas is actually very far down the list as far as number of tornadoes. I was thinking that North Carolina has the most if I remember correctly. We do get tons of thunderstorms this time of year and many are dangerous with hail and lightning but normally we don't get much damage from tornadoes. They always seem to catch the trailer (mobile home parks) though, they are tornado magnets.

Yep, here in KC it was 80* today at 7:30 am, and the humidity feels just as high! Gonna be a fun day to be out working............

We run a small 5000 BTU window a/c unit in our bedroom, so we can basically leave the main a/c off at night, the bedroom stays at about 65*..........just right for sleeping!
