My Golden poops in a perfectly straight line alligning with magnetic north. I've mentioned to my wife that I believe my dog is an alien more than once.

Strange things happen out here in the desert.

I dunno. Thinking about it, it seems like our dogs poop more facing South, Southeast or Southwest, but certainly not always.

Sometimes it seems to matter more about getting it in just the right spot for marking purposes.

It may have something to do with the direction of the prevailing wind.
