Hey folks,
I've been reading since this summer, but just joined last week and made my first posts then. I was about to rent a tractor for the weekend, and folks offered a lot of useful advice and help prior to my delving into all the chores I had planned. If you're interested, you'll find the thread under "Owning/Operating" forum, here: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/owning-operating/189164-first-timer-embarking-multiple-tasks.html
Thanks to all who chimed in. We will probably try out a few more tractors and keep our eyes peeled on craigslist, tractorhouse, and other places to see if we can pick up a great deal on a CUT. Prices on decent used equipment seem to be higher here in Colorado than many prices I see here on TBN and the 'net (too close to price of new IMHO), so if we have to go with new, I'd say the Bobcat (like CT2xx), MF, and TYM currently look like contenders, due to price and local dealers. I need to expand the radius of our dealer search (we live along the front range, about and hour northwest of Denver).
Don't be surprised if I go a while without purchase; we are still learning the rural life, having just moved out of the city 6 months ago.
Anyway, just wanted to say "howdy" and tell y'all that I sure enjoy a lot of the reading here.
