I Don't Wash And Wax My Tractor Very Often

There are some grease removers that are safe on paint? I don't know. I KNOW various sprays I have in the shop would cut it right off, but I hesitate to spray them. Open to suggestion on that score. The loader is a mess in those zerk areas and cleaning up before spring would be a good task.

The Simple Green Pro Degreaser works great! Use it all the time on our tractors, etc. No harm to paint and is environmentally safe.

I have heard about Simple Green many times but for whatever reason I have never tried it. I guess it is time to give it a go! How do you suggest applying? Pressure Washer?

DE;

First, make sure you get the Simple Green PRO degreaser. Their regular is not much.

I put it in a hand held spray bottle, holds about 2/3 of a qt., spray down greasy areas and go do something else for about 1/2 hour. Then use pressure washer. We have a 4000 psi and a 2700 psi. I only use the 2700 psi around tractors, ZTs, etc.

When I am out trimming trees with chain saw I always get a puddle or two of chain lube in bed of Polaris Ranger. The SG Pro works wonders AND it is biodegradable.

It comes in gallon containers and I can't remember if I bought at Home Depot store or Home Depot online. It is best "safe" degreaser I have found.

I buy the degreaser / parts cleaner for my shop parts cleaner at Tractor Supply but, only use it in the parts cleaner. It works great too but, is not even close to being biodegradable.

This is what I use to clean the grease from the fel joints. Put some on a rag and wipe. Just wipe off the grease areas with a rag. Been using it for 6 years now without
problems.

That has to be the cleanest 1000 hour tractor I have seen...... Can you tell me how you clean the engine compartment? Do you spray it with a power washer? With all the electronic components I'm afraid to get my engine compartment wet....

I wanted to wax mine when I first got it in June this year, thought it would help with wiping grease and other debris off easily. 87 hours later I still haven't done it Have washed it quickly a couple times though.
