I needed to set a couple 4x4 posts to hang the wall section on...surprised me how close I could get to the existing foundation wall with my post hole digger...

The wall section is prefabbed like the others and attached to the posts in a "floating" manner. The little trench is then backfilled with some crushed stone before putting dirt on the top...

Seems like another project of some type always comes up to take me away from the shed work... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I heard a truck stop up at the road and went up, and it was the driver who dropped the ground up pavement a month or so ago. He has 10 tons of hot asphalt that he is going to dump as fill somewhere...do I want it for the driveway?

He was going to get nothing for it down the road. I gave him $20 and we both made out. I never played with asphalt before...sure is easy to spread! I wish I had had a roller of some type...in any event it made a more permanent surface at the top of the driveway than the curshed stone did, although the curshed stone was pretty stable...

Painting the bucket with diesel did not keep the asphalt from sticking.

Boy I am glad I thought to take off my toothbar!

I guess the black will wear off with time... /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I know it don't look like much, but it will be much better this winter I'll bet!

I wish it would have been 20 tons...

This shot brings things up to date.

I am going to use that plastic stuff on this wall to as I like a lot of light...

Took this pic last night as the rain started to fall...

Get a scrub brush and a bucket of diesel and go at it on the bucket. It will take off most of the tar with no problem. I did that on my TN (however, my bucket is black to begin with so it doesn't show as bad as yours /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif) Took a couple hours but I got most of it off.

If you keep cutting down brush and planting grass, you're going to take a loss when you sell that rotary cutter. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif I'd have thought a bit of judicious grading would have saved you the ditching over by the bank next to the pond, but the result is good looking so who am I to complain. Don't burn a lot of that willow at the same time, danged stuff burns real hot. Take the winter off and enjoy the fire. I spotted the easy chair in the shed for those times when it's a good idea not to be in the house. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Henro,
How did you cut the trench? Do you have a backhoe or some other method?
I have enjoyed following your project from the first shot. You are very good.
