I got my L 5030 cab tractor

I brought her home last Sat. I have put about 10 hours on it so far. I got a 04 5030 cab R-4's (wish they were ag's) 853 QT loader, HD bucket. Also a woods 9000 BH that I went to pick up today. I need to put it together now. My tranny oil was low so I asked the dealer for some oil to top it off. I think they forgot to check the level after installing the loader. He gave me a gallon of IH CASE hytran, he said it was the same oil that Kubota uses?????? Should I use it or not?? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
So far I really like the tractor, it will just take a while to get use to a different color. I have had 4-JD's and now my first Kubota. time will tell but I do LOVE THE CAB!!!!!!!!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I know I was holding out on all of you but to busy playing with it. I have noticed that this one uses a lot more fuel than my 35hp JD did, but I do have alot more power. I have a 2-12 plow, A high idel in med range is a breeze. I may have to look for a 3-14 plow. I will post pic's when I get the hoe on and the sun is out. It sure was nice unloading a truck yesterday in the rain, I stayed dry and warm. heat and A/C works good. I have a radio ordered and back lights, I should get them tomarrow I hope. The markham tooth bar and LP 2584 box blade came in today. So I am getting closer. Sorry this is so long but I am trickled to say the least.

Welcome to the 5030 Club. The color will grow on you quickly and you will actually consider it beautiful! 5 days past before you let us know you got your tractor ??? - yep you were holding out on us. Tell the Dealer you want Super UDT!

So I'm not the only convert to the cab after owning multiple new green machines!? I told my JD dealer that they are missing the boat by not having this size tractor with a factory cab. I'm beginning to like my 5030 so well that I just might not go back to green when they come with their cabs. Don't mess with that case Hytran. Its not anything like what Kubota uses from the factory. Your tractor is filled with Super UDT now. I would not use anything but UDT for at least the first few hundred breakin hours.

I love my 5030 and so does my wife. I would only use the Super UDT, it's a little pricey but worth it. Please email me pictures of your backhoe on the 5030 at BartWMX@aol.com. I have been thinking about a hoe but wondered what it would look like and how hard it would be to operate with the cab. If you fill those R4 tires they make excellent ballast for a loader.

Yes, please include pics of your Woods 9000 backhoe when you get it on. The only thing that I was depressed about was that I was told that I couldn't have a BH with a Kubota cab tractor. I'd really love to hear how it works, how you like it, and how much it costs. Please update when possible!

As you can tell from my user name, I have one too. I think I have one of the first ones made and I farm with it too.

Forget the ballasted R-4's. Put olympic weight plates on the wheels like I did.

If you are interested in mounting the plates, drop a private message to me or Mike PA. Mike has my phone number as well as the details for mounting the plates. (Mike is a moderator here and is easily acessable).

I never feel lacking for traction in the field with the R4's and the R4's will outlast the R1's five to one.

My unit came with UDT, not Super UDT and that's what I have used for all it's 600+ hours.

Thanks for the heads up about the tranny oil. The radio and back lights came in today. I spent the evening hooking that all up, and it even works!! Tomarrow I will hopefully get the BH together and put on, it has a PTO pump so will it matter what oil I use there? I am also adding a set of remotes at the loader remotes to run the grapple. This way I can leave the hoses from there to run under the cab to the 2nd remote. I built a bracket for the female ends. So I need to go to auto parts and get the hoses and fittings on to. I need to get this thing done so I can get on to the farm and get to work. As before I will post pic's when done. I am planning on tomarrow if nothing flys apart.
