I probably won't get a chance to use it until this weekend. I am sure that I will love it. My driveway is nothing but dirt/sand and is .225 miles long. I think I will get much better results with the rake than I have with my rear blade.

What size harley rake do u have and which tractor do use it w/?
I'm leaning toward a 76" preparator but would like to try one of the 8'
power rakes if the SSL or the 35D will run it.

I use the Pro 8, an 8' rake. Its fairly heavy but really doesn't require much in the way of HP. I believe the HP rating they recommend has more to do with the lift ability then the ability to run it. Last week I let a guy use it on his Kubota 3010. The Boxblade rake which is the one with the tungsten carbide **** is the one I would really like to try. While considerably simpler then the Pro8, it does more of what I need to do at my place as well as for other folks. They are simply fantastic units. Tags, a user on this forum has the Boxblade rake and can offer his opinions about it. Rat...

Spencer, How about a few words on the use of the rake? Never had one or seen one in use. Also, why a 3PH AND wheels? Is the top link connection slotted?

Thanks for any enlightenment,

Patrick

OK Spencer, I'm jealous now! I'm sure it will serve you well. Next time your going to Nashville stop by and drop it off and I'll "test" it for you!

Bartman, I'm about two hours from the southern edge of Michigan. The trees still have at least 75% of their leaves but it won't be long before most of them are down.

Patrickg, I'm certainly no expert on using the rake yet. I can put the 3PH in the float position and the gauge wheels will prevent the rake from digging in too deep. I'm not sure exactly what you mean about the top link connection being slotted. I will post a couple of before and after photos I took Sunday on the first stretch of my driveway.

Roysallis, the cost was $520 for the LLR72 rake itself and $205 for the dual gauge wheels. I had bought a different implement earlier in the year and had trouble with it. The dealer ended up letting me return it and gave me a credit towards the purchase of the rake. I ended up paying $37 dollars for the difference. It is nice having a dealer who is interested in keeping me as a customer.

Mosey, I have seen your recent posts regarding making a rake out of your rear blade or buying the KK rake at TSC. I don't have to go down to Nashville anytime soon that I know of but I do have quite a few jobs to do. Two of those jobs are out in Maryland where all the sniper activity is going on. I have attached a map that shows the first twelve sniper attacks and the location of my two jobs. One job is in Rockville Maryland and the other job is in Damascus Maryland. Both locations are a little too close to the action for my comfort but the show must go on. To make things worse I drive a white van. Anyway, if for some reason I don't make it back from Maryland you can come up and get my rake.

I bought the same rake in February for $497.50 and $201 for the wheels.
