Yes the canopy is good for the sun but my wife insisted that I had overhead cover and she has reason to be worried. Twice when walking the land looking for poachers I have seen copperheads on the tree limbs and I have no idea how a snake could climb a tree. Then she showed me a article on her computer where a man driving his tractor got bit in the neck from a copperhead last year and died.
Now I have no problems with snakes I see rattlesnakes in my wood piles and copperheads near my creeks and I let them go they have a right to live as long as they are not near my family. The problem I have is when working the land clearing stumps with a pick and shovel was hitting a yellow jacket nest in the ground and those sucker hurt when they get you.
