I guess since I\'me new here I oughta intro myself

I recently bought a BX23 and love it so far. I put in a garden and like to tinker outside. I have a dirt horseshoe driveway that always needs taking care of and several other project around the house, like putting in a fish pond.
Up until now I used a MTD Garden Tractor with the sleeve hitch plow and a 5 horse roto tiller for the garden and had someone else come in and plow the snow and level the crown in the driveway.
Well the MTD blew the rings at the end of the summer so I went with something a lot heavier and more useful and got the Kubota BX with the 54 inch belly mower. I am really happy with it so far and think I will be happy for a long time.
Looks like there are lots of knowledgabl people here. I have enjoyed reading through lots of post the past few days.
I'll probably post more now.

Quick Question for anyone that knows.
I was looking on the Kubota sight and it lists the weight of the BX23 at around 1520 pound with ROPS does that weight include the FEL and the BH or is that just the Tractor without those on it?

Anyone got an Idea?

Re: I guess since I\'me new here I oughta intro myself

My BX22 weighs 1520 lbs. without the BH and FEL. As I understand, this is also without fluids (coolant, oil, udt). The FEL weighs a little over 400 lbs., while the BH weighs a little over 600 lbs. The TLB weighs over 2500 lbs.

Thanks for the response I thought it was just the tractor and not the total weight with the FEL and BH but I am the type person that just wants to be sure.

I also was curious because I will be looking around for a trailer and wanted to know what weight rating I should be looking at incase I come across one somewhere

Welcome aboard DM: There are now at least three of us with monikers suggesting some form of derangement although it can't of course, be our affinity for tractors. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif There's you, myself, and MadRef up in New Hampshire.

I've been frequenting these boards since about the time I bought my B7800 last winter. I have found a wealth of very useful and easily accessible information on virtually every aspect of shopping, evaluating and using CUTs and their attachments and accessories. I wouldn't think of buying a new attachment w/out checking out the opinions and experience of the folks here.

Equally important, I think that you will find that the people here want to be helpful to others, are generous with their time and experience and, most of all, are usually (subject to occasional fits of pique /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif ) very friendly and pleasant.

I get lots of useful information here and have a good deal of fun while doing it. Hope the same proves true for you.

As others said the BX23 with loader and hoe is somewhere between 2500 and 2600 lbs. I don't know how much the mower deck adds, but I tried lifting my 60" deck by myself (don't make the same mistake, /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif ) and it must be around 300 lbs, or more.

I've been real happy with my BX23. Most of my neighbors like it too.

Welcome to TBN DaMadman. Keep reading and posting.. I think you'll find the site to be second to none on infomation about tractors and just about anything that goes along with them. How does your BX cut with that 54" deck? I have a B7300 and have tossed around the idea of a MMM once my house is built.

Happy tractoring!

I put this site for Tractor info Right up there with another site I frequent for hunting info.

If any of you hunt or shoot, send me a PM and I will talk to you offline about a nice family oriented Message board that I go to that is comparable to this site.

The 54" weighs 227 lbs and the 60", 265 lbs.
