I hate's meeces to pieces!

Decon is the way to fly. Feed them little buggers the big green pills. I keep at least 5 boxes open at all times hidden in various places around my buildings. You have to keep an eye out because the critters like to store the stuff in some scary places. Gloves, plumbing pipes, tool boxes to name a few of the locations I have found Decon hidden. I like the rat and mouse poison better than the small mouse pellets. Keep some water available because they get very thirsty after eating the bait. The water keeps them from suffering so long.
I have tried traps with out much success. They like Decon much better than peanut butter or cheese.

Last fall I started my tractor and saw a mouse run out from below the dashboard...pissed me off wondering what he was chewing on in there. I now keep manual traps in my barn and shed all the time. At first I was catching them like crazy but once you whittle down the population it keeps them in check. I get 1 or 2 per week as they migrate in from outside. No more nests in the barn.

Every winter they make a nest in front of the radiator of my JD 1010. It doesn't get run much between October and June so every winter I have to clean it out. There are 4 bolts holding the hood on that tractor but 10 bolts holding a mesh grill infront of the radiator, sure is a pain doing this every year.
