I have narrowed my search

I have narrowed ny search for a new blower to a Redmax EZB8000 or Shindaiwa EB8510. Anyone have any experences with either blower? 2- Which brand produces the most C.F.M.'S at the tube ? Redmax claims they do & Shindaiwa claims they do. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif This is a Christmas present to myself so I don't want to be disappointed with performance . thanks !

My local small equipment guy claims the landscapers all buy the 7000 series RedMax.
The 8ooo series is of course even more powerful.
I'm getting an 8000 series too--trading off my new Stihl BR550 series (4 mix). - It gets poor economy, had issues with it and think it's on the weak side.

I have found a land scape site where some say that the 8000 is too heavy & said they recmond the 7001 @ 4 lbs less ,but 38 cfm's less I found an 8000 for $458.00 & shindaiwa eb8510 for $475.00. I haven't priced a redmax 7001.

I think both blowers are great machines. Having said that however, there is no question that the Shindaiwa is the more "advanced" of the two. It has C4 technology, a timming chain on the motor, it is the most powerful blower on the market, has a "hush" mode on it...on and on and on. Bottom line is that the Shindaiwa is more advanced, but then again your just blowing leaves around!!

Again, don't think you could go wrong either way. When does your local dealer think he will be receiving his first shipment of these blowers in?

he said he could order the shindaiwa & would take 2 weeks to arrive. there is a dealer that has them in stock ,but he wants msrp which is $499.00.This is for home owner use only. The dealer that can order the eb8510 says I may want to step down to a redmax 7001 or shindaiwa eb630 . I'am going to stick with 1 of these 2 brands.
