I agree. Your posts and projects are always informative and interesting. I've enjoyed following along on your back yard with the pool, deck and koi pond.
Thanks
I have still have a lot going on at work, I sure do miss the days of jumping in a rig & just heading out for a days run. I have been trying to step down from my position as overall operations manager but I don't think there going to let me. I guess you can't unmake the wheel. My tractor has been sitting with a flat tire and I have had a new Grapple still strapped to a pallet and no time or interest in putting it together. My bodybuilding has suffered too. I have lost over 15 pounds from stress I am sure. I need summer to come again
Charlie,
I've been wondering what you were up to myself. I was also wondering how your job related activities were going, but I see you've addressed that also. I knew it was a hard transition, stressful and time consuming.
Yeah, sometimes it's hard to keep up when everything else is happening all around you.
Anyway, get out there and just start looking at that grapple. Pretty soon you'll start to fiddle with it and before you know it, you've got enough initiative to start working on it. That's what I do. Oh, and don't worry about your bodybuilding too much. lol ... Mine has suffered for 30 years now.
I really do have to get back into the things I need to do around hear. I am going to order a new Brush mower next month. The Horses have been great. Now that I have had them for them for about 6 months my relationship with them has improved considerably. Animals are just like people, relationships are built on trust and consistency and they take time. With everything that has been going on they have been an oasis of pleasure.
Work has also improved considerably as well. I have my facility all filled with inbounded material and I am now at the point where outbounds and inbounds are at a maintenance level. The hardest thing has been my inventory programs keeping them current with material coming in so fast. I am 2 weeks out of financial season & in the paper industry that my busiest period. I have hired the people I want in place and let go some. I have 1 or 2 that are unstable but I have people in place to deal with that if & when I have too. I have 10,000 pound clamp trucks that I needed to bring up to speed. They took a couple of grand each to make work. It just never seems to end but my infrastructure is just about reworked for my needs. I know have the model facility they want to bring the rest of the company to mirror
The good thing about my body building is I am starting out this year with single digit body fat index. That is a great place to start. I didn't run all last year and my knee has been in no pain for about 8 months now. My body mass is very easy to rebuild. I have been doing this for so many years now.
I am glad to see you back again . Take everything on slowly and try to set realistic and achievable daily goals. It does sound like you have the work situation at a mangable level even if your heart is really not completely there . Finding that connecton with with friends, family, and pets is very therapeutic. Keep us posted- Jay
What Jay said Charlie, Celebrate the small victories, choose the battles you can control,or influence, and keep your family, and critters close.... good luck!
Good to see you back here..
