got to take it over to moms this weekend to do a little work for her.
Anyhow how is the best way to strap down a Bx. the back is easy to find a spot to hook to but there is nothing on the front of it. I am thinking of just adding a SS hook to one of the holes on the front of the frame

If it were me and the FEL was on the tractor, I would lower the bucket to the trailer floor and strap that to the trailer. If you don't have a mower installed then you could loop the strap thru the front mounting holes on the frame.
Take it slow...no fast corners!

This is how I hook my BX1800 in the front. I use the heavy duty straps (both front and rear for a total of 4). I attach the front (as shown in this attachment) to the front corner of the frame on each side. In the rear (next attachment) I use the draw bar frame.

The straps can be purchased at Sams club for about $13 each and are rated for 5000lbs (If my memory serves).

I have to put my FEL up on my gate currently as I have a 10' trailer and have not upgraded yet. I do tow this quite often and need to get a 14 or 16' hopefully this year or next.

I wanted to note that this picture was taken the day I picked it up about a mile away. Since, I have lowered the location I attache the end to the trailer so the down angle is greater as well. I attach just below the side rails under the pin for the gate.

I used to use that type of strap. Got them for my Farmall-A, which has nice paint that I want to maintain for parades. Works great, as hook pints are easy to get to, and most edges are rounded.

The Kubota, I went back to chains. There's too many sharp edges that make it hard on straps. I need to replace mine, becuase of a few wear points. Even though I was careful, I still rubbed a few places.

I put the tractor on the trailer with the loader raised a bit.. I attach chain, about like you show. On the back, I run the chain over the scraper, and through the draw bar like you show. Once it is secure, I put the loader in float and let the bucket settle on the front chains.

I still use the straps for the Farmall, and for other "stuff" that does not have sharp edges. I do want to move, and add, chain attach points on the trailer. They could be better positioned to hold the tractor.

get some sections of old fire hose and make strap chafe guards from it. you can also do the same with the chain to keep it from scratching the paint.

I have no bucket. I will have by box blade and the mm mower on it. I got me some stainless i-bolts last nit and will attach the to the front of the frame to hook the straps or chains to

Fire hosue makes good bar protectors too. At the Fire Station I used to work out of, that's what we used.

I would be concerned if these are simple hardware-store bent I-bolts - they probably would bend open under serious load. A 5000-lb strap anchored to a 500-lb bolt is only good for 500 lbs. You would want to us a forged or welded eye.

Also, eye-bolts can lose a lot of their strength from being bent sideways if the load is not straight in the direction of the bolt.

In general, a forged clevis or special load-carrying swivel or toggle bolt would be preferred.
