My user name is my old standard "ginastu" and my name is Stuart. Guess what my wife's name is. I live on the far south coast of NSW (state) in Australia. I live on a small block of land (26acres) in a locality called Lochiel. The Shibaura tractor came with the property when purchased in early 2010. Today I needed the manual to find some ideas on why it would not start. With google searching for answers, I arrived at TractorByNet. Anyway from memory, the model number is something like D25 but I have also seen some reference to the numbers 1030 or maybe 1050.
It is a small tractor, 2 cylinder diesel, 4WD and is surprisingly powerful. I say this with the admission i have never owned a tractor before. The battery needs replacement but i finally got it started by jumper leads to my truck. For a long time there was no success. I used a small amount of pressure can start fluid and this made no difference but then changed the jumper leads over to the 2nd battery (and alternator system) in my truck and bingo. It seems there just was not enough cranking power on first battery of my truck.
Anyway, I have the manual for my Shibaura somewhere but do you think i could find a website to get a free download... no way! When i do find my manual, i shall scan it and put in dropbox. Better still, does any body have any idea where to download shibaura manuals?
