I blame Jeephead for starting the thread Echo 2511t is an amazing saw
Echo 2511T is an amazing saw!
I made the mistake of going to my Echo dealer and holding one. A saw that cuts well with a 5.2 lb powerhead? I had to have one.
Then xyz123 posts a picture of his three 2511s! I didn't even know a person was allowed that much decadence. I already own 7 chainsaws, but having another 2511 would be fun.
He gave me the name of his dealer (who knows what he's doing) Log into Facebook
so I ordered one.
I figured I'll take a chance, it won't take much to have $99 worth of fun.

Initial thoughts: Quality seems very good. Comes with a chisel chain! The oil and gas caps seem a little less robust than the original, but okay. It seemed a little finicky to get the chain on because of close clearance with muffler cover, but finally got it. I forgot to weigh it empty, bit it is about half a pound heavier than my Echo with bar, chain and full of gas and oil. Still under 7 1/2 lbs total! Not an Egan pipe, but from what I see on Youtube, the muffler is an open can, not stiffed with baffles.

It started on the second pull, ran and idled well. It cut very well. The dealer said I need to run about 10 tanks of gas through it to wake it up.

I'll try to get a comparison of saws in the wood when I figure out how to do it. I've already had $50 worth of fun :)

I heard you picked up one from the dealer in my group. ;)

Hard to pass up when you can buy 5 of them for cost to 1 oem.

Not much different honestly to me.

Plus clone comes with better muffler then stock oem.

Only like 4oz more then oem. Part of that is extra bar stud 2 instead of 1 and extra bar nut. Prob a couple oz right there alone.

Bet clone muffler makes up rest being a better open muffler with pipe.

PHO dry

I put Nano on my clone by Farmertec G2511 to compare to my OEM one with Egan pipe and Nano.

Remember Egan pipe on oem good for 28% over stock oem muffler alone. ;)

Not bad for first cuts.

Yeah, all my fault! :ROFLMAO: It is an expensive little bugger but the 2511T is my favorite saw. It will really surprise you how well these cut. I may have to pick one of these clones up for my buddy as he drools over my 2511T but can't afford one.

Clones are open port like stihl 200T is. But still great runners. Prob helps keep cost down that way. OEM is closed.

Carbs are smaller on clones with smaller air filter mount area and filter. Make sure they send you right air filters. I seen one clone company sending them out with wrong size oem filters neojunk I call that clone company. I tried buying from them once. Worst ever. About 10 years behind farmertec stuff.

I always grease around air filter fittings oem and clones on echo stuff.

Mix of oem and clone pics of folks in my group and me.

Dont ever grab a rear handle version. You will regret it. 😁 :ROFLMAO:

Makes 50cc light weight saws feel heavy.

As used filled up, 12" nano set up.

Is there a clone version of the rear handle 2511p or only the top handle?

There is but only sold overseas right now.

V-modest in my group said they are going to do a rear handle version for us FS here in states. That means others will follow.

Possibility around this fall. Crossing my fingers for that.
Will buy 2 more. 1 for me and 1 for dad.

Here is the clone rear handle sold in Ireland I believe it was.

Egan pipe only thing it needed. 28% gains on OEM

That other CNC muffler from west coast cant touch that. Be like modding the oem muffler then.

OEM mufflers are so stuffed up.

@JeepHead clone 2511 pulled down in my group for porting.

So you can see the open transfers like stihl 200T style.
