I just bought a YM3000 with a 5 foot tiller, 5 foot box blade, 5 foot cutter and a cultivator. The tractor has 3185 hours and is in perfect condition. $4500 for the package.....I think I got a super deal........comments???

How do I determine the year model?? Where do I get a manual and filters, etc?......I am located in north Alabama.

Howdy neighbor. If you bought the Yanmar in north Alabama, I am betting you either got it from Tom Fredricks or Gordon Maynard.

Actually got her from an older gentleman in Marshall County......he took real good care of her and she's in fine shape.....I had struck a deal with thhe Kubota dealer in Athens and then stumbled on the Yanmar......saved myself $18K.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.......saw one near Priceville yesterday with fewer hours but not as good condition and it was priced at $5K just for the tractor......I may post a pic when I figger out how to do it......

BAD DEAL,
your tractor sounds too nice to use. It is what is called a "show tractor". Get it dirty ASAP so you will not just let it sit there. Everyone know about new trucks, they are so nice you can use them for anything!

Youll love the 3000. Dad bought one a few years ago with a bad block we ordered a skid motor and put it in the thing for 800 dollars for the low hour engine and spares from the other one. We use it to finish mow 15 acres and various jobs tilling planting cultivating, and spraying. One of the handiest implements to get is a rear scoop. We got a 24 inch but feel it could handle a 30 inch as well. Its good for those jobs that are too small to use the backhoe on ore too tight to get into. I used dads last weekend on a job to haul 25 yards of mulch around building for a company sure beeat the wheel barrow. What part of Alabama are you from I can recomend a good dealer to get front wieghts for 25 dollars each.

I'm over in the Guntersville area and I'll be needing some front weights. I'll mostly be using my 3000 to keep 13 acres of food plots mowed in Hardin County Tennesssee. That's where my hunting lease is.Other than that I'll finish mow 2 acres here and do the occasional cutting and box blading for friends.

CONGRATS!!! I have a 3000 and love it. I use a 5ft brush cutter and 6 ft finish mower and the tractor doesn't even know they are there. I am just outside of Huntsville and am also interested in the weights, especially for $25 each!!

Good Luck...

Scott

GUntersville is a bit far from here but Hardin county is next to Tishomingo County where Im from. If you ever need a hand in Hardin county give me a holler and Id be proud to help. I may build a loader for Dads Yanmar but ill build a power steering kit first. I like all Yanmars but the 3000 sticks out to me as big enough to do what I want box blade wise and seeding.
