That remark reminds me of a conversation one time we had on a job. I was the old guy and the rest of them were in their twenties. Somehow someway the subject came around to hitting a woman.
I explained my position on that subject.
A young man tentatively asked me what I'd do if my daughter was one of those that just bruised easily.
I pointed out that someone would learn real quck to eliminate hazards that caused said bruises. Even to the point of following her around with a pillow for something he'd have missed.
I'm real lucky. Both of my son in laws share one really important quality, well, they both have a lot of great qualities. But the important one is they love their mother dearly. I've always heard that if a man loves and respects his mother he'll love and respect his wife.
I think Junkman is pulling a wroughtnharv on ya'll. Here I was the one who encouraged and enlisted women on my crews in telephone construction to do the traditional male work.
But I was also the one to initiate a conversation with, "I can't believe they have you girls doing this work. Some man is working at McDonalds because you've taken his job." Just to stir things up you understand.
Some people were born with a spoon just for stirring the pot. I suspect more than one member of TBN came with a snow shovel. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
