I keep telling myself I need to wait another day or 2 before I mow with the zero turn.. I put a new set of blades on (old ones just needed sharpening, will sharpen a bunch those and others when I sit down to do that).. the new blades are higher lift (not intentional, just what I ended up with) and I wanted to see the difference with 6" tall grass..

I'd say the higher lift blades n Real Thick Grass will pull the engine down more.

Especially on the 72" deck

I'll find out when my high lift blades comes in ....

The high lift blades part # 70000-25013 came in.
They are EXACTLY the same blade as the K5698-97530 / K5698-34340 that came stock on my 72" Rear Discharge deck.


I mowed all afternoon & picked up 2 nails in rear tire at Chicken Houses :-(



The tire plugging gun that shoots mushroom headed rubber plugs into puncture holes works great

Never seen the gun before but I do have the kit with the two (Reaming/holding while pushing in plug) tools and plugs and have used it on my Fs.

I'm now at 17hrs & Loving this mower more each week.
I used my Big Back Blower & blew it off real thoroughly.
I couldn't believe how much fine grass clippings it retains under it & around the Radiator area.

I also greased it & blew air filter out with air hose. It was FILTHY.

Checked all fluids & topped Antifreeze off.

Obviously I share your feelings about the F mowers having bought 4 or 5 of them and bought one back from Barlows after trading it toward another F purchase. Untelling how many total hours I have on all of them combined. :cool2::cool2:

I could use a 4wd mower so many times.

Had the choice between these 2 units. At the time, I could only afford one of them, so I went with the ZD331. Its an excellent machine and Im VERY happy with it. It is rugged, reliable, simple and has no after exhaust treatment. :cool2:
However, I am still kicking myself for not having purchased the F3680, too. It had about 1600 hours on it and it was a good deal at 8500. The ZD331 was $8000.
I could have had TWO moderately used, non-DPF, amazing mowing machines for about $16-17k. The F even had a new seat! :mur::mur:ullinghair:

Both of these Kubota mowers are EXCELLENT H/D Machines.

The transmission & PTO driven decks are far more superior than other brands out there imo
