I love my new tractor

Congratulations on your B. I have had 3 BX's and still have one and they are great but I do prefer the B for ground clearance and feel. It is a step up and not just in ground clearance. I now have an L and it is also a step up from B but I prefer the "feel" of the B the most for my needs.

I will admit, I always loved the BX2340getting around and the power it had. I pulled logs through the woods, carts and carts of splits wood, rocks, stone and dirt(that poor cart!) It pulled out boulders from the ground without ever a whine ... as if it was so easy for it. It threw snow far away, tilled quite a few gardens, pulled logs down or lifted them when we had log piles we were sawing and splitting, mowed real nice, ...I could go on and on.

It was like driving a sports car in a way cuz you could whip around here and there and get through tight spots with ease.

I'll miss it, but I can't have two and this will be just as good, just bigger.

What do you like about the "feel" of the B's better? I have a B3030HSDC and have a thought about moving up to an L series, mainly to have faster travelling speed. I use it mainly for snow removal.

I have hillside property. The higher L does not make me feel as secure on not turning over. May not be true but I still "feel" that way. I had a B7800 which did not stall or hesitate going up a steep hill with my 6' RFM but near the top the L starts slowing even using all the different combos of HSTPlus features. The L is so much heavier which is using a bunch of the HP to move the tractor itself especially going up a steep hill. I like the Grand L and all it's comfort features which you probably already have on your B3030 but were not on the B7800. I also have a BX2350 which I use for most of my mowing and I feel more secure on it for not turning over than I did on the B. Bottom line is I just felt more comfortable and in control on the B size over L but I've always preferred sports cars to big cars. I prefer my WRX as a daily driver to my Avalanche but going on a trip the Avalanche is the one I drive without second thought. Also don't have reese hitch on WRX to pull Kubota.:)

K. Cabbage....

I know it seems stupid, more so on a hill.....but when I first got my 2620 I was used to a gear tractor. Going down a slight hill and was going to slow a bit for a bump. Out out habit the left foot pushed the clutch in.....I nearly ate the steering wheel, it stopped that tractor in its tracks when I push that clutch.

Might want to check that out in a safe area....might help in the future if your boot gets stuck again.

I didn't have a BX2430, it was a BX2230. Guess all the snow has given me a white out...similar to a black out except you get a headache. ;)

J0be - THAT was funny....this tractor sure does stop quick and it sure would be easy to push the clutch in that instance. Thing is that if I wasn't the one on the tractor and saw that, I'd be rolling on the ground laughing ESPecially if I was your little sister. :)

Do you know WHY I have the name, Kubota Cabbage?

When it's snowing, I slide on the seat a lot like when I go down the road to do a couple neighbors for them and slow down at their driveways - sliiiide. Just one more reason it'll be real nice to get a cab in the fall.

I have a hill that I mow that may not get the same mowing as in the past because of this tractor being higher. I don't want to tip over. I'll probably take a couple passes downhill and a bit of a slant but not as much on the steeper parts - I'll weed whack it if I have to.

Congratulations on your new Kubota! I got a new L3940 a month ago and I am on it every chance I get. I love my Kubota too! I was bummed that we had a monsoon this weekend, got over 5 inches of rain in 2 days. I buried it in mud this weekend, was wishing I had R1's instead of R4's. Thank goodness I have a loader to help pull me back out. I had both fronts out of site and half of a rear!
Where in NY? I grew up near Watertown, went to school in Potsdam.
