-- that's all i have to say!

it's 16F here, and i plugged in my b2410 for an hour before lift off -- when i turned the key to "on", before ignition, the temp gage raised a bit --

-- and she started on the first turn of the key -- :D

then, with my carhartt suit on and hoodie, i blew my 14' wide by 350' long drive -- in bliss.

i have thought long and hard about a cab, during those dull hours of work, and today's open-air exhilaration just reminded me how much i love the open outdoors.

sure, i have goggles on my forehead, just in case - and thankfully, none of me got even an inch cold.

that is all!

Yeah I don't mind the open air. I drove the tractor up and down my lane to day to see if there were any spots to clean up. Nothing, oh well it was better than being inside. :)
When it does get to serious snowing and blowing I like my one piece snowmobile suit. No drafts and it sheds snow better than my coveralls.

Here in Upstate NY, next to Lake Ontario, We have about 48 inches of snow in four days of pretty much non-stop snow. I have a BX24 and a great snow blower that I used for the first time. I loved every minute of beating back the snow. In the meantime, a young man who plows snow for a living, got badly stuck about 250 feet down a farm road. Another truck got stuck trying to get to him to pull him out. They called me and asked if my "little" snow blower might help. I had the road cleared and dug four feet around the truck in about 30 minutes, and broke him free with the backhoe and a chain. I love being the hero, especially when all the professional snow plowers, stood in amazement at how quickly I could move huge quantities of snow. I love winter.

Hey Bill, welcome to TBN. Are you at the east end of the lake where they get all that crazy lake effect snow?

Slightly southeast. We don't get it as bad as those due east, but it depends which way the wind is blowing. Thanks for the welcome.

I, too, enjoy blowing snow exposed to nature without the cab. I wear my snowmobile suit, dorky hat with ear flaps, NFL style (or mini mart robbing style) face protection and ski goggles. The only recurring problem I have is my goggles sometimes fog up. Anyone have a fix for this other than spitting in 'em?? Thanks and Regards, Mike

themichelob,
for fogging goggles check out marine supply stores and motorcycle shops. They sometimes have defoggers that spray or wipe on, wipe off, that prevent fogging. Maybe one of the products was called Sta-Brite? Downside is they sometimes give a slightly streaky vision at some angles of light.

Some folks would say a heated cab would help!;):D

Last night i relocated snow for 4 hours @ a commercial property that i plow. I also enjoyed the open air for 60 seconds or so, when i got out of my toasty warm cab to take a leak! :D
