I-Match not compatible with all of my implements

Question is...
I have a 513 rotary cutter and JD 45 back blade,I-match will not hook up to the top of either one of these implements.
Any suggestions how to get around this situation?

Return the I-Match.

Unfortunately not all equipment is made to be compatible with quick hitch systems. The newer the equipment, if it was designed for the American market, the more likely it is to work with some of the quick hitches. Older equipment is far less likely to work with a quick hitch, but some pieces do. Also some manufacturers work with some quick hitches and some don't.

Unfortunately that is the state of industry right now.

However, you may be able to modify your current equipment by adding a floating toplink connector or my some other type of modification. I've seen one or two pieces that have been so modified by their owners, but you better be handing with a welder or know someone who is.

Is your iMatch reciever angled toward the tractor or is it straight? I know that once I got my LX5, Tiller and trailer hitch setup to work, I don't have to move a thing. I did have to wiggle things around at first though.
Drop the implement, pick up the next one.
Can you give us a picture of where it doesn't work?

Before you decide to ditch the hitch, try contacting Gerry at Bad River Products. I was talking to him a week or so ago and he asured me they have a coupler that is finishing its patent process and will be available in the immediate future. He claims this will hook any non compatable implement to the iMatch. I have not seen it but I do use other products of theirs and they are of the highest quality. There offer a money back satisfaction garuntee thats tough to beat. Dave

I had the same problem. I have 4 implements and only one will work with the I-Match. I took it back.

There needs to be some kind of standard here.

Anyway, I have the telescoping links and they work perfect.

Yep,It is true. Our JD #11 Field Cultivator (which is a recomended attachment for our JD 4400) also will not work with our I-Match.
Some stuff works and some won't.
I believe the Woods brand will work with anything thou.

It is straight.It is the top link that I am not able to hook up to.
If I do not figure something out I may have to post some pictures. I won't be able to post any pictures this weekend.
I will figure something out,heck the thing will be handy for dragging logs,so I am not going to take it back,besides that I may purchase some I-match compatible implements sometime.
I already have the adjustible lower lift arms,I bought the I-match 2 years ago and it has been hanging on a nail in the barn(because I found out it would not work on my implements) ,I put it on today with plans of dragging some logs and thought I would ask about ideas of converting it etc. to use on my implements. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I believe there is a standard for the class 1 3PH, just nobody paid much attention to it.

There is a standard......not mandatory though. Some of the manufacturers get close, and thats good enough for them.

I'd be leary of quick hitches until a standard is set for all to design implements to fit. JD is hoping that others will follow their lead. If they don't, you've got an extra large boat anchor there in that proprietery I-Match stuff. Remember the IBM PS2 with proprietery stuff... where is it now?
I have a feeling others will do something opposite of JD.
