PLOWER, gotta have it. Every little bit helps. I've got extremely hilly terrain up here in the green mountains of VT. so every inch of width helps. I run wheel weights too. The real benefit of course is to allow you to use the attachments.

DFB,
Are your tires filled with water too?

I had the same problem with my 4100 with R4 tires. I reversed the wheels and have had no problem since. The 4100 doesn't have 2 piece rims. It's easy, just jack up the tractor and support with jack stands. Then reverse the left tire to the right side and vise versa. When this is done, the valve stems are facing inward. I now have no problem with rubbing implements and the tractor is more stable too.

No water, I'm using bolt on wheel weights. Two per wheel. They weigh 60lbs each. That and 20lbs air pressure in each rear tire gives me pretty good traction. If I go to liquid filled I'd use RV anti-freeze. Plain water would freeze.
