One more thought,,,two years ago,,when I was buying a tractor,,the only kiota "dealer",was 200 miles away,,,and he was nothing more than a used car dealer,,,I asked him if I bought one,where would I get it worked on at,,,if needed,,,he said he would take it someplace,,,we are still not sure where that place was,,cause he never showed me or told me,,,and about a year later I noticed he didn't have any tractors setting in his parking lot,,,that could be a good sighn,[in his case],or a normal sighn,,,,,so don't go saying jinma,,,nortrac doesn't have dealer support,,,they answer the phone,,,you can get it fixed at any place of your choosing,,,they reinburse and send parts,,,thats how the labor part of the warrenty works,,got to add,,,I don't work for nortrac,,[they never get in these kinds of discussions],unlike some,,who do work for the dealer or get a rebate......THINGY

Kioti still has a dealer system that tops Jinmas. I can't even find any Jinma "dealers" near here. The only "dealer" that I can think of is Northern Tool, and with no locations near here. Suppose you do need a part and are sent one, where do you take the machine with no dealers around? They might answer the phone, but that's not going to get a broken machine fixed when no one is around. For non-mechanics like me, does that mean I would be SOL?

Let me add another thought to this spirited discussion. One of the major arguments that the Chinese tractor owners make is that the Chinese tractors can save you money on the purchase price. They also concede that you better have some mechanical abilities because the Chinese tractors required greater service than "the big three". Now what other tractor might be cheaper than a new "big three" and perhaps require a bit more maintenance than a new "big three" tractor. The answer, of course, is a used "big three" tractor. A prospective buyer could realize the cost savings of a Chinese tractor (and probably more) and certainly based on reading the TBN forums not have any more service requirements than a new Chinese tractor.

Even a 5 to 10 year-old "big three" tractor has more modern engineering and probably better resale than the best Chinese tractor. In addition, there are servicing dealers everywhere and OEMs who are actively supporting there dealers and customers.

Before I purchased my new CUT, I purchased a used NH/Ford 3930 with approximately 500 hours on it. I got 5 years of service out of it without a single repair. When I traded it in, I got back almost what I paid for.

So you can buy a new "big three" CUT, a Chinese Tractor or a good used "big three" CUT. Personally, I would choose the first option if I had the money, and the last option if I had to cut back on how much money I could spend.

Not at all,,its hell being sol,,been there most of my life,,,,,before I bought mine[after talking to northern and figureing out what the deal was],,,I talked to my local independant john deere and massy ferg. dealers[who both had shops,and worked on tractors],,I asked them if they would work on my nortrac if it brokedown,,,they both said yes,,,that they would be happy to take my money,,,,so there you go,,,,northern shipps the parts,,,any body who you think can do job,,works on it,,,northern pays them a predetermined rate,,,,thats how it works,,,never had to do it,,,I bought an additional 6 months parts and labor when I bought mine,[comes with 6 months parts and labor],,for about 200 dollars,never used it,,,,so now,,if it breaks,,,I am all on my own,,,northern has the parts,,but I got to pay,,,just like any of the big three or four,,,,am I right? thingy

Orange person,,,kabotas are better tractors than jinmas,,,o.k.,,,you alright now?,,,,The only question is,,,are they 8,000 dollars better? You can buy two jinmas,,,[same size motor,etc]for the price of one kabota,,,are they that much better? thingy

I didn't,never,said it was exellent,or even close to that,,you did,,much rather have a comparitable,big three,,worth more money,sell for more money,,,but it is worth every penny,,are the big three brands?thingy
