I just got my NH TC30 and was starting to do some serious work. I had myself a nice cold bottle of Pepsi to take with me, but I noticed that I don't have a cup holder or even a crevice to put the plastic bottle into. I spend $16k on a tractor and they can't put a cup holder on it? Heck, most riding mowers have cup holders.

So, what are my options? I prefer not to cut or drill if I can help it, but I will if there is no other choice.

Thanks,
Kris

Do what I have been doing for forty years. Keep it in the tool box wrapped in newspaper to keep it cool. Find a flat spot on the foot rest. Take a thermos, or just a water jug and put it in a shade at the end of the field. I had one tractor, a MF 135 I think, that would keep a half-gallon thermos jug on the foot-rest with the handle looped over the pto shift lever to secure it.

Do what any intrepid, self-reliant, creative farmer would do--improvise!

Cup-holder, indeed. What would Henry Ford and Harry Ferguson think? Next thing you know, people will want cabs and automatic transmissions.

I don't use the fizzy stuff on the tractor, so I have no idea how a Pepsi might do, but I use a StukCup. It has a magnet built in the base and will stick to anything metal.

I used a 3" pvc coupling for a cup holder with a foam koozy inside of it. I popped out one of the plastic retainers that hold down the floor mat and with a small angle bracket, I bolted it down. Works well and is very tough to break.

I went to a chain store. I wont mention which one but they are the largest chain store in the world. In their boating department they have a cup holder and a combination cup holder/ odds and ends holder that mounts with suction cups. I have mine sitting on the fender with the suction cups on the glass and it has not come loose yet. It has been on their over a year.

I got some spare PVC pike at the local plumbing supply store. It was in the scrap pile so they did not charge me for it. Glued a cap to one end and drilled some holes for condensation to drip out. Painted it black and zip tied it the the ROPS. I have one on each side, you always need a spare!

Thanks,

Wally

Do a search on this site for "Chalkey Cup". Mark figured all this out about 8 years ago :D

Bike water bottle cage and an extra large, wide mouth water bottle. When I know I'm going to be out for a while I fill three with me favorite beverage, take one with and put two in the fridge/freezer. When I finish the first one I call the boss on the walkie-talkie and she brings another one out for me.

The set-up is easy to do, cheap and only requires two small holes t be drilled.

I use a plastic Folgers coffee container (1 lb) and throw a magnet from a hard drive in the bottom. It is big enough to hold a can drink with a koozie on it.

That sounds like a quick and easy solution! I have a whole box of those things. They are pretty strong and can you always add another in there if you need more holding power. The plastic will hopefully keep it from scratching the metal.
Thanks
