That sounds high to me.
I paid $15,200 for a new TC24DA HST w/12LA in April 2005. Assuming the remote adds $ 200 and the MMM $ 2,000 would put you at about $ 17,500. Maybe they increased the price $2,000 from the 24 to the 26? Seems like a big increase though for 2 hp.

The TC26 took a price jump over the TC24, personally I love the tractor but I think that NH priced them out of the market. For what it is worth, the price range I've seen on the single rear remotes is typically running $350 to $500 give or take, depending on brand, and always cheaper to order the tractor with one than to have the dealer add it later. The NH MMM deck is also more expensive than most brands, I'd peg that closer to $2500-$3000 installed.

I can't understand the new prices on the small New Hollands, their larger units are competitive, and their TZ series are competitive, but the class 1 TCs are, unfortunately currently priced at a premium. Very nice tractors, higher capacity than virtually anything remotely close that size, probably worth the money if you really need the capacities and PTO hp in a small machine, but I have a feeling sales are going to drop for NH on these tractors.

Just an FYI... a TC26 is a TC24 running at higher RPM's. There are some great programs on the TC24 right now that make it more attractive.

That is what I understand, but I was also informed that they had to alter some of the gearing so the engine produces more HP at higher RPM but is also producing the maximum PTO hp possible by altering something in gearing? Essentially if you just turn up the rpms, you get more hp but you are not able to bring up the PTO hp and still hold the PTO to 540 if they don't change things down in the PTO transmission. At least that is what I understood the sales guy to say at the local dealership.

I have also priced the TC26DA and was quoted about 1000 less that you were....from other posts on here that i have read, for 1500-2500 more you can get the same configuration, mmm, the fel has more lift capacity (14la), ....go up to the TC33DA....that is the bang for the buck, that is probably what I will go with when I finally get one..I have compared all the numbers between JD, Kubota, and now Cub Cadets 7530, and 7532...It will either be blue, or the Cub....only thing with the Cub is that it doesnt have mid PTO, and the Fel lift capacity is much lower....900, as opposed to 1200+ on the 14la....The cub is a nice tractor though, and would work for me...I'll be running a RFM...
bottom line, for the price, I have ruled out the TC26DA that I initially was going to go with.....

good luck and keep us posted! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
