Steve,
I have 9 hours of seat time so far, and I can honestly say that this is the best engineered tractor I have ever owned and there have been many. (Ingersol 6018, JD 4100, JD 445, Kubota
B1700 and
B2710)
Here is the quick list of Pros & Cons:
Pros:
1. The hoe is well thought out and is very beefy. I looks like they just took the BT750 hoe and shrunk it down. The BT600 uses the same cast components of it’s big brother and is an excellent design for this machine.
2. Hoe and loader come off in less than 3 minutes.
3. Reversible seat is easy to use and elevates as you turn it around. Also lots of leg room when using the hoe.
4. MMM deck goes on and off quickly and provides a great cut.
5. The frame is significantly reinforced over the standard
BX2200. The bare machine weights 200 lbs more.
6. Folding ROPS.
7. Very well balanced with plenty of power for all applications.
8. The Backhoe is surprisingly powerful, reminds me of the 4672 I had on my
B1700.
9. Ergonomics are great, everything is exactly where it is suppose to be. I also like that the seat is around 2” higher that the standard BX to make room for the swivel bracket. This actually creates a more chair high driving position and an easier reach to the steering wheel.
10. Super fuel economy – around 2 hours per gallon.
Cons:
1. No cruse control – Not a problem for me I only mow ¾ acher.
2. No Tack.
I can’t say enough good things about this machine. Kubota really got it right this time, they will easily sell more than they can produce this year.
Let me know if you have any specific operational or general questions, I’ll do my best to post the info.
Regards,
Carl
