I Need Enclosed Trailer Recommendations

I love all my single axle trailers and the tires last forever... like 20+ years and not a single issue... my double axle maybe 5...

The forces on the sidewalls can be extreme with two axle... there is a road not too far from here with hairpin turns... I saw a double axle trailer lose a tire right off the rim...

My car trailer that hauled a Mustang race care and a Real GT40 to car shows has a single axle and no brakes as was the norm back in the 60's...

Do you really use your trailer tires "20+ years"?
Even stored inside, as my trailers are, I try to not keep trailer tires more than 12 years.

Yes... I use the 5 x 9 every week excepting holiday for a 22 mile landscape loop through all the rental properties... I bought the trailer used in 1985 and still have the same tires...

Tires are 10-ply tube type and 16"... the rims came from a 1950's era Chevrolet Pick up...

The yard trailer which is street legal has a very old set of AG tires... also 16" with tubes... speed limit 45

I know that tube tires are dinosaurs but most of my cars and trailers have tubes and find them exceptional... especially with 6-ply or better old fashioned made in USA... I believe the oldest are US Royal followed by Goodrich... the AG are Goodyear.

The only trailer I have had tire issues are my newest radial tires on the 18' enclosed trailer... they will loose pressure in in months where as the tube tires loose almost nothing... I have had to replace 2 in less than 5 years and total miles less than 2500.

All trailers are outside... exposed to weather.

The oldest set of tires I bought are Montgomery Wards Allstate Brand Nylon tires... bought them new in 1973 for my 1929 Model A Ford... 45 years old, garaged and not a single crack or check...

With 50 vehicles it would be financially not feasible to replace tires based on an arbitrary 5 year span... simply couldn't do it not to mention the environmental toll...

My brother would love it... he bought one recently and so far has not tried to use it with his horses.

The 50 vehicles are in various states... the oldest in 1905 Curved Dash Olds and of the 50 23 are currently insured... the others are storage or future projects.

The old wagon I was using for hay rides today also has steel rim wheels... the crank start 1948 Farmall Cub C made for many photo ops today at the Christmas tree farm...

Often wondered how we could produce a tire that lasts for decades and now can't?

On my newer vehicles I run Michelin of the trucks and Continental on the imports... never a problem.

For some reason trailer tires seem to be the most problematic...
