I NEED SERVICE IN MARYLAND

ANYONE AND EVERYONE THAT MAY KNOW A NEARBY POWER-TRAC SERVICE PROVIDER I'D LOVE TO HEAR. I LIVE IN THE SYKESVILLE AREA 21784 ZIPCODE. I'M AT AROUND 100 HOURS AND WANT TO KEEP HER FRESH AND HAPPY. PLEASE HELP.

I don't believe that there are any service centers for the Power-Trac.

These machines were made to be operated and worked on by the owners. What the owners can't do, there are service centers for the engine you have, and a hydraulic shop should be able to fix any hydraulic problems. Terry at PT can just about talk you through any problem. A good friend with mechanical skills is a plus.

If you need help, just ask the question, and I will bet some one on this forum will have an answer for you.

I believe that this forum could qualify as the actual service center for PT.

I'm currently suppose to bleed and change the hydraulics and hydraulic filter at around 50 hours and never done this. I have 85 current hours. I've been very diligent about the greasing and cleaning and air filters and oil. I have a lot of reservation on 'bleeding out the air'. It appears it's like draining oil and changing filter however, the bleeding out the lines makes me hesitant. I'm also concerned with a small grinding noise as I steer back and forth right and left as i'm driving only. Aside from these few issues, she's wonderful. Maybe I just need my hand held once. Thanks for any help John

John...there is no need to change the hydraulic fluid(motor oil) but you are overdue for the filter change(I belive this is a warranty issue also??)...it's not as difficult as you imagine and once you've done it you'll wonder why you waited to change it. The spare filter should have come with the "bleeder "hoses. Would suggest you search this forum for the filter change and bleed topic and you'll find a wealth of tips that will assist you...good luck and be sure to change those filters (engine and hydraulic) on a regular basis. I too have apprx the same hours as you and am looking at changing my motor oil over to synthetic at 100 hours.
