I need some hydraulic help please

I have a 73 or 74 ford 3000diesels. I was using it today to scrap a driveway, and as I was scraping with the box blade all the way down, and all of the sudden it pops up to the all the way up setting. I tried to get it back down with screw adjustment and little lever adjustment an nothing any ideas? The vavling and all was rebuilt very recently before I bought the tractor. I appreciate all help! I'm not sure, but that lever shown in your photo might be in the wrong position. It needs to be in position control instead of draft control (I think up instead of down). If it is in draft control the compression spring on the toplink bracket will cause the 3PH to rise. If your boxblade is pulling enough load or one of the scarifiers hits something, it could compress that draft sensing spring and cause your 3PH to pop up.

Since your 3ph stayed up, this may not be the problem at all.

yep the lever needs to be up and the lift spring could have got jamed i would switch the postion of the lever and see what happens

I run it in the up position and it was up when all this happened I just tried to make it go up and down so I pushed draft control and nothing happened

Anyone see anything here that's a problem other than that one piece with the o rings on each end and does anyone know what that is called

check and see if the control valve or unload valve is stuck probably your problem

you can see both of them in the first picture of your last post the or locate at the bottom right of the picture

Ok I will thanks I just tore it apart tonight got frustrated with hydraulic oil spitting everywhere so I'll jump back on it tomorrow

i'm with whodat.. many times the unloader will stick on these and either give you no lift.. or stick it up.

next thing to look at is linkage.. make sure nothing is bent from being jambed by draft mechanism.

Thanks man and no linkages are bent that I can tell I'll post some pics Saturday when I put it back together and all and check out the unloader so I my unloader got stuck would the lift come from all the way down and get stuck completely up
