I need some hydraulic help please

the unlad valve controls where oil goes basically. once the lift is up it unloads the pump and dumps the rest to the sump.. takes a lil backpressure to keep it alive.. but they can stick.

Ok good deals that's what I was figuring so what's in there and how to I get the bushing out or should it slide out easily

It may just be the picture but the second pic up from the bottom the right hand side of that rod with the o rings on it appears to be bent up.

So finished her up today and it was the unloader valve she runs like a champ now thanks everyone for your help next restore 73 1020 John deere

Well thanks man u seem like u know a lot about them now question is do you know anything about a John Deere 1020 the hydraulics are weak on it if it ain't one thing it's another

that's one generation older than the 2240 I've maintained for my stepdad for years.. and a whole lot newer than my JD B


does it have a long suction strainer tube in the center section? if so, and it gets plugged.. hyds suffer...

past that.. I'm for sure not a jd guy....

Yeah it's been a good tractor just not taking care of from my buddy's grandad being old so I'm bout to take it over all the sheet metal and everything else is in good shape motor rebuilt in 2000 along with other stuff needs tires and paint an shell be very nice
