You can never spend too much time talking with friends.

I agree with this. Unfortunately in today's world, more and more of these "friends" are faceless, mute, non-tactile cyber-acquaintances whose offerings of consolation are not much more than words on a screen. A poor substitute for the real thing. My advice to the OP would be to spend more time cultivating real relationships and minimize time spent posting on Internet fora.

Yeah, the internet and your "invisible internet friends" are all great, but if your significant other is not thinking the same thing, it can be a very sore point.

Good luck with everything David.

Seconded and thirded here David. (I JUST MEANT THE PART ABOUT GOOD LUCK)

God bless and remember that in person none of us is very likely as nice as we act on here, where we have to be or get barred/banned.

Given that, think what SOB's some of us must be in real life ;-)

Take care and remember it takes two to make and the same two to break up a marriage.

Except in cases of flagrant physical or emotional abuse, both people are almost always culpable in its break up.

Been there, done that, and really searched my soul and made it a point to figure myself out before entering into another serious relationship and now we've been together 23 years and will have been married for 21 this May.

Learning more about myself made me better at figuring out who was right for me too.

Best wishes, and you're in our prayers,
Thomas

Good luck on this, good to hear you are not giving up on your marriage. One thing that has helped my marriage is scheduling a date twice a month, just her and me. We also try to go away alone for a couple days once a year. The time to talk/listen is a must for a successful marriage. My wife got me to go to a Weekend to Remember and it really opened my eyes to some things. Really good weekend and low cost which is helpful. Wishing you many blessings.
