I used my middle buster to break the ground and create a small ditch. Then I did it again about 4' apart. Then I rode my tractor tires in the diches and dug as deep as I could which I guess was about 20" to 24" deep. I worked from the deep end (drainage) to the shallow end for a collection box and used the lift to keep raising a litlle as I went. I ended up with a 100 foot ditch that was perfect for laying in the drainage pipe. I also dug with a shovel for the 12x18 collection basin and added the pipe and then drove backwards to use the middle buster to filli n the ditches. I had to due final touches with a shovel. No big deal moving loose dirt to cover up ditch. It worked great. It worked so good that I have used to install a few for customers in the same way. If I need to run small pvc pipe or wire, I just remove the buster plow and use the spine.
