Dirt Moving I think I want a bigger Kioti or something

Kind of requires more input from the OP, no? In my case your "6 ton skid steer" wouldn't have matched the work done by my 55hp tractor and dump trailer: total trip travel of 1/2 mile, 1/2 to 2/3 of the distance on roadway surface (about 110 trips).

I've only had one need for a skid steer (drilling holes for fencing), and without a doubt that combo was an excellent match for the work I needed to get done. I've rented excavators and I'm pretty sure that no skid steer can compete with how quickly an excavator can move dirt out of the ground.

Sweeping statements can be problematic.

Skid steers aren’t made to dig dirt out of the ground although with a tooth bucket mine is pretty effective. Excavators aren’t very good at anything besides getting dirt out of the ground. And I’d use my dump truck for a half mile move. Moving any amount of dirt that far without a dump truck or trailer is grossly inefficient. And I’d have loaded the trailer a lot faster so the skid steer still beat the tractor. I never compared a skid steer to an excavator anyway. The only thing a tractor loader does better than a skid steer is not tear up the ground. Even if the size was equal which a Kubota SVL95-2 and a 50hp tractor isn’t the tractor is still going to loose. The tractor weighs about half as much, has 40 less hp, and has a bucket breakout force of less than half. That’s not a recipe for success for the tractor. I realize it’s a ridiculous comparison but you were the one that compared them.
